A low wedding budget doesn't have to mean sacrificing flair and design.

We have in-house designers at the Low Budget Wedding Network® who provide trendy, trending, and economical wedding supplies such as apparel, stationery, decor, and gift alternatives. In addition, we're working hard to create a global network of low-cost wedding merchants to serve our 20,000+ members looking for the best deals on wedding supplies in their area. Please join our wedding groups on Facebook to connect with like-minded folks for talk, advice, fun, and to learn how to plan the low-budget wedding of your dreams if you're starting your wedding planning journey or if you're a wedding vendor who can help our cause.

The Low Budget Wedding NetworkTM has developed their own line of low-cost wedding invitations for engaged couples looking for additional budget-friendly wedding stationery options. These are accessible worldwide through Zazzle, a global leader in print-on-demand goods. These low-cost wedding invitations have text template fields on both sides, which saves you even more money because you won't need to buy all of the extras like RSVP, directions, menu, and gift registry cards.

Handwritten calligraphy, magnolia coloured blooms, Eucalyptus greenery, succulents are still trendy, and rustic themes are, of course, timeless. In 2021-2022, geometrics, abstract designs, and classic typography will be popular.

Yikes! Now that you've gotten engaged, what's next?

If you're like me and enjoy taking your time to plan things out thoroughly, you've already begun organising your wedding for 2022/2023. Your wedding planning journey has begun even if you're simply collecting ideas and building a Pinterest mood board. Setting a wedding date two years from the date of engagement gives you a full year to investigate themes, colour schemes, venues, and other wedding-related details. It also allows you time to put money aside to pay for everything. However, the main effort begins a year before the wedding day, when those plans are put into action. With the two-year wedding planning timeline in mind, here's a handy checklist to keep you on track.

Low-cost wedding invitations start at $0.30. (available globally)

With a small wedding budget, you may wow your guests and have a beautiful day.
Get your girlfriends together and start making plans!

We offer tips and advice that will ensure you have a beautiful exquisite wedding that doesn't break the bank, whether you have a modest wedding budget or simply don't want to spend a fortune on your wedding (other priorities), Your friends and family will wonder how you managed to have such a beautiful wedding on such a tight budget. You can direct them to this page!

Being organised and planning ahead of time are essential for any wedding, but especially so for one on a tight budget. I believe a budget of $5000 to £3000 is reasonable. If your budget is tighter, cut costs even more by reducing the amount of people attending, the venue, and the attire. This tutorial will show you how to save money while maintaining your sense of style.
Quick Pointers

  • Reduce the quantity of visitors as much as feasible.
  • As a venue, consider a family home or garden.
  • Organize a POT LUCK catering event in which each visitor brings a food dish.
  • Grow your own flowers and use single stem table decorations and DIY arrangements to express yourself.
  • Create a free website or utilise social media to send email save the dates and invitations.
  • Budget, plan, and track your expenditures with a free app.
  • To get to the ceremony or venue, use a family or friend's car.
  • Keep the ceremony and the venue in the same location.
  • Book on a weekday and outside of peak season.
  • When it comes to images, don't scrimp... employ a great photography student at a significant discount. Alternatively, enlist the help of a talented family member (or two) with a good phone.
  • Make your own wedding cake or purchase one from a high-end retailer to decorate.
  • Wedding gowns can be purchased secondhand or online (Amazon or Cocomelody).
  • Officiate the event with a friend or family member who is qualified as a celebrant.
  • Rather than hiring a DJ or band, stream your music via a gadget.
  • Use recyclable bottles as table centrepieces.
  • Make cupcakes and cookies as edible favours.

Wedding planners and organisers are people who plan and organise weddings.

You might wish to invest in a wedding planner diary to help you stay organised. The Knot wedding planner and organiser is particularly popular with upcoming brides. Another popular and inexpensive option can be seen below for about $10. Alternatively, you may start saving right now by printing a FREE wedding planner checklist, such as Martha Stewart's. This is a pretty thorough wedding planning checklist that can be downloaded as a PDF document. It has a wedding timeline, a budget planner, a guest list, a photography planner, a music planner, a floral planner, and a seating chart for the reception.

If you have a spreadsheet program, you can use it to keep track of wedding budget costs and schedules, and you can simply update it as things change.
Set the Budget and Priorities for the Budget

(This is not an entire list)

  • Insurance for weddings
  • Catering, entertainment, beverages, toast, decorations, flowers, and favours are all included in the venue.
  • Cake for the wedding
  • Registrar - a formal event (officiant, church booking etc. incl. flowers)
  • Jewelry/underwear/shoes are worn by the bride and groom.
  • Groomsmen attire for the wedding party
  • Arrangements of flowers (buttonholes, brides bouquet, bridal party bouquets).
  • Decorations for the Table and Room
  • Invitations, Save the Dates, RSVPs, and other stationery can be customised as needed.
  • Nails, hair, and make-up
  • Bridal shower, Thank you gifts for groomsmen, bridesmaids, and groom's parents
  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Cars
  • Hotel for the night
  • Honeymoon

Decide (as a couple) what is most essential to you from this list. Typically, a bride has a notion of where she wants to focus her attention, which is almost always the dress and the venue. If that's the case, set aside the funds you believe you need (but don't want) to spend on those two areas from your overall budget in order to achieve your 'wants'. This will give you an indication of what's left in terms of all those other things, and it's on those other things that you should concentrate your savings efforts. That isn't to suggest you can't save money on your clothing and venue; you certainly can! However, the goods for which you have the least money will inspire the most inventiveness.

On a Budget: A Beautiful Wedding Dress

Pre-Loved - Items that have been worn once and have been professionally cleaned might cost up to 75% less than the original purchase price. If you choose this route, make sure you set aside a small amount for changes and give yourself plenty of time to find the perfect dress. There are numerous Facebook groups, eBay lists, and charity and thrift stores that sell beautiful pre-owned wedding gowns

You may save a lot of money with Chinese Dress Supply. According to what I've observed on Facebook groups about China Dresses, the brides are generally pleased, but the dress isn't always exactly like the advertisement shot, so read the reviews and keep your expectations in check.

Borrow - a family member or friend may have a wedding gown that they are willing to loan you for free, except the cost of professional cleaning. Why not make it yourself if you have the skills? I recently witnessed a lovely wedding gown handmade by a bride! It was breathtaking. Many of us don't have such skills, but if you have, it's something to think about, and what a beautiful sentimental keepsake that would be. Instead, buy a prom dress - many prom dresses resemble wedding gowns and are far less expensive.

Most people won't notice the difference, especially if you go with a colour other than white or ivory. Getting the Most Out of Your Bridal Party Keep it small - in addition to the bride and groom's attire, your Bridal Party and Groomsmen will require clothing, shoes, accessories, and flowers! That's a lot of money, especially if you're expecting a large group. Keeping your bridal party modest to non-existent is the best way to keep costs down in this area.

This may not be possible, though, if you have a large number of relatives and friends who want to be included in your special day. What should I do? Explain to your adoring fans that you're on a tight budget and must keep things basic yet exquisite. Tell them you'd love to include them, but that it'll only be possible if they can contribute to the cost of their outfits and accessories. If you're not directing what people wear (apart from the colour scheme), this request is appropriate because they'd be buying something to wear to your wedding otherwise.

If they are unable to do so, they will opt out of the bridal party, thus resolving the 'we want to be in it' issue. Brides find that having a colour theme and enabling their Bridal Party to choose their own dress style (maybe specifying a length) within that colour scheme is a choice that the ladies embrace. And the images are stunning. Simply make sure that all of the colours complement one another (paint sample charts are great for colour matching).

How to Get Cheap Wedding Flowers

DIY - For the reception tables, I constructed my own floral centrepieces and was able to reuse the flower arrangements from the prior wedding! I didn't care about matching anything up, so I took what was offered. Have a few practise runs if you're going this way so you know what you're doing and which flowers work best. Rustic themes allow for a lot of creativity, such as using glass jars as vases and stringing LED lights. Artificial Flowers - Today, there are various silk, paper, and rubber wedding flower options that look just as good as the genuine thing, last longer, and eliminate the need to worry about scheduling and storage. To save even more money, you can try your hand at manufacturing these yourself using a YouTube instruction.

How to Host a Low-Budget Wedding Reception

It can be enjoyed at home - in the garden - Obviously, this is only possible if you have the necessary room! If you're having your wedding reception in the garden, you'll have to pay extra because you'll need to prepare for both good and bad weather, which entails cover, probable heating, and waterproofing. Unless, of course, you have space indoors. A backyard wedding reception with a BBQ is a fantastic way to save money while also being quite enjoyable and relaxed. Book a local community hall, pub, or church room for your wedding - There are several venues in most areas that offer wedding room rental services, and they're not expensive, especially if you agree to provide your own decorations. Build an arrangement with your local bar and food landlord to make a place for you, which they'll be pleased to do with all that nice trade going their way, to avoid the cost of hiring a room. The guests can then pay for their own meals and beverages. Book a wedding date during the week or outside of peak season to save big on wedding venues.

If you get married at a less popular time, on a less popular day of the week, and in a less popular month of the year, you can save up to 50% on the cost. Check their terms before booking to ensure that any charge quoted remains the same when the date changes!! Read all contracts carefully, and if you're spending a lot of money, consider purchasing wedding insurance.

Photography Friend/Family

Of course, this is the cheapest option for wedding photography and videography, but keep in mind that this individual is intended to be a guest, and they can't be both. During your wedding, they will essentially be 'working.

Even if they agree to take photos, they are likely to want to enjoy the day and will not want to spend all of their time doing so, and they may not shoot the photos you desire. If you're going to rely on a friend or family member for wedding photography, make sure you have a plan in place with them ahead of time so they know what group shots you want and when they need to be there. As you would if you were dealing with a professional. Also, remember to include them in your thank-you speeches and re-gifts!

Create a Facebook page with a hashtag for all of your guests to share wedding images they captured on your special day. There will undoubtedly be some that are fantastic, unexpected, and deserving of a spot in the wedding album. You can save your favourites and upload them to a site like SnapFish for low-cost printing. Book a student photographer or a qualified but inexperienced photographer during the off-season. All of the aforementioned will be able to offer lower photography rates than seasoned pros who have already established themselves in the industry, and off-peak and out-of-season pricing will be even lower.

Catering Keep your invite list to a minimum.

Rather of a planned meal, have a buffet. Make your own catering and enlist the support of friends and family that have culinary abilities. With a buffet menu, you can still have a sit-down supper. Organize yourself so that people don't grow hungry while waiting in large lines and that the food doesn't run out. Make sure there are enough chairs and tables. To save money, bring your own disposable tableware instead of relying on the venue to provide it. Allow guests to pay for their own beverages if you're having a bar. This is something I've done at every wedding I've attended; it's fine and expected of me. Some guests may think it's impolite, but if they understand you're a budget-conscious pair, they shouldn't expect you to foot the bill for everyone's inebriation. Keep your invite list to a minimum.

Invite your closest local friends and family, and let others know you're holding a small intimate party and hope they could be there. If saying 'no' makes you uncomfortable, don't publicise your wedding outside of the circle of guests. Those who are unable to attend can watch it live on the internet. +1's and children who aren't in the bridal party are not included. Spend less on music. Record your favourite wedding and dancing tunes and play them through your venue's music system.

Hire a local band that wants to get their name out there and is willing to work with you on a budget. Recruit talented friends and family members to help out for a while. Have a karaoke session! Wedding Cars at a Discount Usually, someone in the family has a car that is fancier than the rest. Inquire whether they'll tie a ribbon on it and transport you on the big day. Offer to cover all expenditures associated with fuel, decoration, and cleaning, for example.

Amazon's Best Sellers We also have our own Amazon site as influencers, where we handpick wedding and bridal things that we think you'll like and are good value for money. Having everything you need in an easily searchable style like this will allow you to spend more time with your fiance. Check out the reviews and, if possible, check at the customers' personal images, especially if you're buying wedding or bridal party outfits.

PLUS SIZE BRIDE SHOPPING

Amazon has a large assortment of wedding gowns, and we've hand-picked a few for our plus-size brides. Buying a dress that is modelled for your shape is a far better method to gauge how it will appear on you when you put it on, so have a look at our collection for ideas. Read the reviews and look at the images taken by consumers. This is one of Amazon's most popular plus size wedding dresses, with 4.2 out of 5 stars and a price tag of less than $100!
